Sweet kills as these 3 shocking photos demonstrate
Sweet kills but how exactly?
Everyone knows that sugar is bad for our health, but most people only think about the effect it has on their weight and how their teeth will suffer.
Did you know, however, that eating too much sugar can also lead to Type 2 Diabetes? And that this nasty disease prevents the body from being able to heal, thereby leading to sores and cuts which may become infected and could even result in amputation?
If not, then take a look at the following pictures by Nattakong Jaengsem.
Who is Nattakong Jaengsem?
Nattakong Jaengsem is a Thai designer, who was commissioned by the Diabetes Association of Thailand to create a campaign that would highlight the dangers of diabetes and shock the public into reducing the amount of sugar they consume.
I think you’ll agree that the result is extremely effective.
What’ the aim of the campaign?
The campaign is entitled Sweet Kill, and its aim is to reveal the horrific effects of Type 2 Diabetes. Jaengsem employs an interesting twist though; rather than just using images of the damage caused by the disease, he cleverly recreates these injuries using the cause of them: sweet foods.
They are by no means sweet to look at though, and will no doubt make you think twice about snacking on sugary treats in the future.
