A simple mindfulness practice: daily gratitude journal

Some studies suggest that writing a gratitude journal at least 3 times a week might have a greater impact  on your happiness than doing it every day. Time required? 15 minutes only…

So, start by writing down up to 5 things you feel grateful for, not just doing it in your head. Here you find 9 important tips:

  1. Be as specific as possible
  2. Go for depth over breadth (details about a particular thing instead of a superficial multiple list)
  3. Try subtraction, not just addition (consider what your life could be without certain people or things…)
  4. Get personal
  5. See good things as gifts, rather than taking them for granted
  6. Savor surprises
  7. Revise if you repeat
  8. Write regularly
  9. Don’t overdo it

The goal of this practice is to remember a good life experience, then enjoy the good emotions that come with it.

Cultivate happiness by taking note of the good around you!!!
